Booklets and information that are available from the library to paid-up members of SDCCGB are listed in four further attachments mentioned below.

The attachment 'Audio Tapes' contains a list of materials available on audio tapes.  Our collection again includes workshops from past meetings from such great names as Stan Burdick, Ed Foote, Dave Taylor, Dave Clay, Howard Marks, Pete Skiffins... such riches. Also, we have many of the Callerlab Convention Tapes on which you will find presentations by some top name Caller/Coaches on such valuable subjects as Entertaining and Showmanship, Using Music, The Art of Teaching, the Community Dance Programme, History and Heritage and many more.

The attachment 'Library Section' contains a list of books which are considered to be of use to the Modern American Square Dance Caller with advice on the different types of calling, resolution of squares, singing call patterns, lists of all the programmes with definitions and timing from basic through to C2, advice on good choreography, smooth dancing, good timing and many more such like goodies.

The attachment 'History Section' contains a list of books which include histories and memories of square dancing.  Also included in this section are traditional dance instructions and books to help you do One Night Stands, Western Line Dances, Solo dances as well as descriptions of Contra dances.

The attachment 'Technical Section' contains a list of books with information on how to sound a hall, how to build a hall, how to build a square dance outfit (this for the seamstresses among us), how to run a business meeting, understanding the theory of music and how
to use your equipment to its best advantage. All useful information outside the
actual skills needed to call a dance.
